I'm reminded of a time I was overwhemingly overcom

I'm reminded of a time I was overwhemingly overcome by a desire to know what my "purpose" was. The more I couldn't pinpoint that "specific" purpose, the more desperate & despondent I became. What was I here for? So many talents, but which one to focus on? Which was that impactful one? Which was THE ONE I was created for?

I'd spent so many hours in prayer wondering why I wasn't getting a clear answer.

One day, I listened to a sermon on YT and pondered on something the speaker had said - "You need to learn to listen. Tell Him, then keep quiet and listen". Paraphrased.

I tested it. And in quick succession, I got 5 specific messages, one of which is the following that answered the question on purpose:

"Do what you can do where you are that you know is within My will for you to do."

It wasn't just the sentence alone that came; but also the unpacking of it in the form of flashes of pictures & scenes. I saw myself in all the roles I'd had so far in life. What had I done as a mother, a wife, a daughter, a friend, a sister, a business woman, an employee, a storyteller, a creator? All these roles, so important in their own right. I am to use each person I currently am to impact those within my sphere of influence for the Kingdom. No matter how small I might feel my current sphere of influence is. Can you fathom the power of strongly impacting ONE life?

For example, mothers, fathers, wives, husbands have arguably the MOST important ministry: The home/family. If we all did this ministry effectively as a collective, we would solve the nations' challenges from the root. Yes, it ripples out from your "small" family to others outside your home, and to your generational future.

The importance of doing your part where you are? You will be trusted with more powerful work, sometimes more visible. That is the Parable of Talents. Matthew 25: 14-30.

We're all mandated to serve with our gifts. Notice how when you don't, you become rusty in it & you suddenly see others doing that thing you swear you coulda done better, but didn't? ...Taken away, given to another.

Serve where you're planted. Don't take it for granted. There's a deep purpose in it. And it is worship.

Yes, the past 3 years have been hard emotionally, and particularly this last year.

This morning, I woke up so happy, light, and full of excitement for the present and the future.

The above👆 is an entry from my journal from some time back. Reading through it, I marveled at how far God had brought me in such a short time.

We can not carry the world on our shoulders; we were not made for that.

If only we would read the following👇 verse and intrinsically understand the intense power behind the simple words, we would, as a collective, bring about the change that we spend so much time agonizing over.

"Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light." Matthew 11:28-30.

What keeps us from doing this? The thought that we need to be in control, and for some, not understanding from a practical perspective, how to take His yoke upon them and simply share the burden.

The age of AI is here, and with it comes the unprecidented unsheathing of opportunities.

Alas as with all technology, it should be used with brain. Because➡️ garbage in, garbage out, is what rules in the AI world. The information an AI tool gives you is dependent on the information available to it, which is information that's been fed into various sources by millions of humans around the Internet world. And humans can be fallible, and can make mistakes.

So still look over your results to be sure it's A-ok.

Still, for the most part, it's super SUPER helpful, drastically cutting down research time to enable you act quickly in life, and at work. Students should tread with caution sha...plagiarism. Plus, you're in school to do your own research🙂.

When people visit my store’s website, my persona

When people visit my store’s website, my personal blog, or whenever they’d see my earlier sales videos, they’d ask me who created them. And whenever I said I did, they’d always respond with, “Wow! Are you sure?”, and then conclude with, “ Anyway you studied Computer Science..:.”

Couldn’t be further from it. Anybody can create these and more in today's world.

In university, our syllabus was far from current. We were stuck in the Fortran and punch cards world. I remember almost regretting my course choice at the time. The only thing that came from my studies that I still use to this day is my logical thinking, “If..then..else..end.”😅 I know how to over-analyze😩 Sometimes it's a good thing o.

When I started working, I was introduced to the real software world, and that’s when I fell in love with tech and the vast possibilities it represented.

I love how tech is evolving. I love that non-tech people can create systems to complement their small businesses, share learnings to improve others' lives, and so much more. And by themselves too, without having to rely on tech people. This is crucial because more than ever, businesses represent owners more than they ever did, and it can be sometimes impossible for techies to unravel, and therefore, incorporate you into your business web front(s).

Still, if I wanted to hire someone to handle my tech stuff, I would definitely not be looking for a Computer Science graduate. I’d be looking at attitude, connection, vibes, and COMPETENCE. And awesome work doesn’t hide nowadays – we’re living in a massive fishbowl.

Most times you’ll find they’re self-taught in those technologies. And a lot of the time, the best are not graduates.

Ever noticed how social media sneaks up on you and

Ever noticed how social media sneaks up on you and slowly starts to take over your waking moments?

I suddenly realized it was becoming an idol when I started reaching out for my phone upon waking up and hurrying to finish my prayers whenever I heard a notification - that is, when I did get to saying my prayers.

All through the day, whenever i had any downtime, I'd scroll through reel after reel and forget to move on to my other planned activities. This is a dangerous thing when you're self-employed with only you to hold yourself accountable.

Shame. Shame. Shame.

Hard as it was, I died to it and went on a social media fast. The benefits have been mind-blowing, both mentally and physically.

SM is a powerful tool, strategic in shaping worldviews and controlling minds. We must be careful and intentional in how we consume and create on it.

Good to be back...responsibly.
