Today, I heard about John Wesley, founder of the Methodist Church, and pondered how he was able to live a practical Christian life.
Most hours in a day are spent on your day job, what you do for a living. Unless you’re a a man/woman of the cloth, it can be challenging to live each moment in the service of the Lord. This is one of the reasons I’ve decided that maybe the easiest way to be a living sacrifice is to make my day job one – a living sacrifice.
I’ve had an interesting and financially rewarding career, but 2 weeks ago, I decided to leave all that and focus on what matters. It’s hit me what I’ve heard many times over – money is not everything. Life and living is. The quality of it is. And the impact you make in the service of others and God.
As I take these uncertain first steps, I pray for God’s guidance and favor. And I pray that many shall indeed be Blessed as a result of these first steps.
A journey of a thousand miles starts with 1 step.
