Without You, I Don’t Want To Be

Saul’s rebellion, rejection by God, desperate aloneness of Saul. 1 Samuel chapters 15 and 28
Judas’ betrayal, guilt, suicide. Matthew 26:14-16, 21-24, 45-50. Matthew 27:3-5

Cast me not away from Your presence O Lord.
Take not Your Holy Spirit from me, from me, from me…
Restore unto me the joy of Your salvation
Renew the spirit within me.
— Popular Christian song

Psalm 51: 11-12
Cast me not away from thy presence; and take not thy holy spirit from me. Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; and uphold me with thy free spirit.

My prayer always:
A life where I have known You and lost You is a life that is empty and lost, a life without hope. You have shown me Your love, I have known and deeply felt the comfort, joy, and assurance of Your healing and salvation. I have a life, a full life. Lord, teach me to always allow Your Word to light my paths, form my words, and guide my tongue. Allow me to be a vessel of Your glory. I am so willing and sure. Thank You for Your love, the worthy sacrifice of Your Son, and for looking out for me and my own. My trust is in You, and in no man. For they are fickle, and You are the same yesterday, today, and forever. I will anchor with You. In Jesus Name.
Amen.
