How do you find favor with the Lord? There are 2 ways I have seen – there might be more, but here is what the Bible says:
1. Through marriage:
He who finds a wife finds what is good and receives favor from the LORD. …Proverbs 18: 22
2. Through finding wisdom:
For whoso findeth me findeth life, and shall obtain favor of the LORD. ..Proverbs 8: 35
A good man obtains favor from the LORD, but the LORD condemns a crafty man. .. Proverbs 12: 2
Two examples of those who found favor with the Lord were Samuel and Jesus.
And the child Samuel grew on, and was in favor both with the LORD, and also with men. ..1 Samuel 2:26
And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and man. ..Luke 2:52
