My trust in my God is in spite of…
It’s in spite of the Earthly “facts”:
“I still see the symptoms of the sickness”
“there are still attacks from every corner”
“I still feel so depressed and helpless”
“We’re not known to win in this particular kind of bid”
“They’ve never bought from us before. And nothing has changed between then and now”
“I still have no job!”
“How come I am still leaving, even though I prayed to stay”
In His time, He perfects His plan.
Be still indeed, and know He is God.
Same as when He parted the sea for the Israelites to cross over to safety,
Same as when He fed the Israelites with Manna and quenched their thirst in the desert,
Same as when David killed Goliath,
Same as when He raised Lazarus from the dead,
Same as when Abraham and Sarah bore their son,
Same as when Jesus Christ rose on the third day.
Remember their earthly facts?
– The Israelites seemed to have only two choices: they were between the “devil” and the deep blue sea. Literally.
– The Israelites were in the DESERT: The desolate land of no food and water.
– David was a shepherd of small build. Goliath was a mighty man of war, huge in size.
– Lazarus was … DEAD!
– Abraham and Sarah were well beyond in years. Even Sarah laughed at the thought of her conceiving.
– Jesus had been humiliated, beaten, bruised, and finally suffered a gruesome death by crucifixion. He was so dead.
Despite the earthy “facts”, God remains God from everlasting to everlasting. There is no searching His understanding; A thousand years in His sight are but as yesterday when it is past, and as a watch in the night; With Him, absolutely nothing is impossible; the heart of kings are in His hands and He turns them however He wants; The Earth is the Lord’s and the fullness thereof.
Do not despair. Do not look at what it seems to be. Look at what it is in God’s eyes. Don’t use your 5 earthly senses to determine. Use the 6th sense called “faith”.
Be still and know He is God.
