Seek to Please God, Not Man

Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O LORD, my strength, and my redeemer. Psalm 19:14

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. A lot of souls spend their lives trying to please everybody, most times sacrificing their peace, happiness, and integrity in the process. Throughout the Bible, we’re adjoined not to fear man, but to fear God. Man is a created being by God. Ever pondered this: One of the most popular verses says “No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper;“. Many people don’t know the verse that immediately precedes this verse: “Behold, I have created the smith that bloweth the coals in the fire, and that bringeth forth an instrument for his work; and I have created the waster to destroy.“. Why then should you fear the people who create the tools to disturb your life. Whether these weapons they create are strife, guns, knives, quarrels, whatever. God created the makers of these weapons. Therefore the wisdom they possess to create is ultimately from Him, and He has control over them and their weapons. These weapons can therefore not prosper against you. Just believe.

Fear the Lord, seek to please Him. You cannot, and I mean it, CANNOT go wrong with that approach.
