Isaiah 53

I just read Isaiah 53. And it just dawned on me that this is a very powerful chapter. Maybe ’cause I grew up “knowing” Jesus Christ (as the Messiah, that he suffered death to save mankind, and that he died and rose victorious from the dead on the 3rd day), I had never thought about the fact that Isaiah 53 happened before Jesus Christ came to earth. Read Isaiah 53 again – deeply. Then read the New Testament or recall what you know of the New Testament. This is powerful. It is an amazing prophecy. So powerful in its accuracy and meaning. And in its impact.

Are you ill, or not at peace? He has paid, and conquered. It is true. No doubts. It was prophesied, and came to pass.

“For he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes, we are healed.” …Isaiah 53:5
